THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT QURAN ON DIFFERENT MEANINGS


Studies on the understanding of the Qur'an have been the most important issue that has been emphasized from the first century to the present day. As mentioned above, the first step in understanding the Qur'an correctly is to pronounce it correctly. Correct pronunciation means valid reading. As of today, no text from ahruf al-sab'ā has survived in circulation except the sahih and mutawatir Qur'ānic text that has reached us. Therefore, although the correct reading continues to be the first step in understanding the Qur'an, the correct meaning is not limited to the text alone. Because sometimes two different readings may be mutawatir, or a qiraat may be mutawatir, but there is an ambiguity in its meaning. In such cases, in order to make the meaning clearer and to reveal his preference for the meaning, he has to look at different evidences. These evidences are, in order of priority, verse, hadith, ijma'a or alliance of the Companions. If there is no evidence in this regard, the Arabic of the Qur'an and hadith used during the period of the Prophet's lifetime is used. In this way, the intended meaning of the verse is revealed. The following verse is an example of this

The audience to whom the Qur'an was addressed included people of all levels, including the old, the young, and those who had difficulty in expressing pronunciation that was different from the way they knew it. Therefore, for the believers who want to live in the shadow of the revelation, pronouncing it easily helps them to understand it faster, memorize it, and live it. Allah taught His Prophet different ways of reading that would be easy for them, and He taught people that they could choose different ways of reading that would be easy for them, and that they could.
