REVIEW OF THESES MADE IN TURKEY IN THE FIELD OF PHILOSOPHY WITH CHILDREN (P4C)

The research, aimed at examining the theses conducted in the field of Philosophy for Children (P4C) in our country, due to the lack of analytical and critical thinking skills observed in students by Matthew Lipman, utilized the qualitative research method of systematic review. Fourteen theses published in the National Thesis Center were accessed and analyzed in the research. The findings revealed that the theses in this field were written as of the year 2020. It was observed that the majority of the theses were at the master's level and conducted at the Graduate School of Education. Additionally, there was a notable presence of theses in this field from Istanbul Aydin University and Uludag University in Bursa. The majority of the theses were found to be conducted in departments related to educational sciences, utilizing qualitative research methods and content analysis. The research suggests the possibility of opening master's programs in P4C teaching at universities to meet the professional need for teaching philosophy to children. Furthermore, it proposes that all academic studies be included in research, allowing for comprehensive research initiatives.
