THE HABITABLE WORLD HAS NO FLAVOUR OR SALT LEFT: DISCUSSION AND SUGGESTIONS FOR A SUSTAINABLE AND HOLISTIC ECOLOGICAL WORLD SOCIETY/LIFE
World is the only planet known to have life. Nature's resources are rapidly depleting in response to the needs of around 8 billion people living on this planet. This destruction in the ecological system limits humans' ability to establish a livable environmental relationship with nature and other people. Therefore, the existence of a sustainable and holistic ecological planet is of critical importance for all living things. The aim of this research is to make discussions and make some suggestions towards creating a sustainable and holistic ecological world society/life by approaching the relationship between nature and humans holistically. Document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. With the evaluations made through the examples given in this research, the place and importance of the Holistic Paradigm in creating a sustainable and holistic ecological world society/life is emphasized. In this framework, Kohlberg's understanding of SEVA (Regeneration for Service to Life, Fifth Level of Consciousness) is mentioned by referring to the relations between the stages of moral development and levels of environmental consciousness, and then Miller's twelve actions for creating a sustainable-integrated ecological world society/life, as well as the suggestions of some thinkers and scientists are discussed in detail. Environmental education has a vital function for the internalisation of these goals. In short, in order to create a sustainable and holistic ecological world society/life, while the potential of individual actions to create a snowball effect is an inherent truth, it is necessary for society to be free from domination and hierarchy and for the production and consumption system to be transformed in favour of the masses with an ecological perspective.
