THE QUALITY OF NESH AND IMAM MĀTURĪDĪ’S UNDERSTANDING OF NESH

The issue of nesh has been one of the most debated topics in Basic Islamic sciences. İt has become a special area of interest due to the fact that it is a çömmen. Subject of tafsir, hadith, and fiqh disciplines.  Each of three disciplines has addressed abrogation (naskh) within its own methodological framework, leading to the formation of a rich scholarly literature on the subject throughout history. Since abrogation primarily deals with shar rulings, discussions on the nature, types, and examples of naskh have been more extensively explored withig the principles of İslamic jurisprudence. The issve of naskh has an important place in the usual al-figh Consequently,  there have been many studies that deals with the issuc of naskh in differen dimensions. Almast every classical work on İslamic legal theory includes a dedicated section on abrogation. The approaches developed by scholars regarding naskh often reflect the fundamental characteristics of the schools of thoughts to which they belong İmam Maturidi is a scholar who has distinguished himself in differest scientific fields such as tafsi, theology and usul İmam Maturidi’s treatment of the issue of naskh in his tafsir book “ Ta’wilat al Qur’an” shows that he has a unigue understasding of usul. Fort his reason in this study  we have tried to determine İmam Maturidi’s understanding of naskh based on his tafsir “Ta’wilat al Qur’an” shows that he has a unigue understanding of usul. Addtianally it discusses his approaches to presenting abrogating (nasikh) and abrogated (mansukh) verses Furthermone, the study explores classical classificaltions of naskh and how İmam Maturidi categorizes nasikh and mansukh within his framework.
