The aim of this study is to determine the evaluations of foreign students regarding their Turkish learning processes through the Six Thinking Hats technique. A qualitative research method was used in the study. The research model is survey and the pattern is phenomenological. Purposive sampling was preferred in the study. The participant group of this study consists of 6 foreign students learning Turkish at A1 level at Gebze Technical University in the 2024-2025 academic year. The data were subjected to content analysis. As a result of the content analysis, they were examined by dividing into “1 code (Six Thinking Hats technique),” “6 categories (white, red, yellow, black, green, blue),” and “6 themes.” As a result of the research: 2 out of 6 foreign students (40%) stated that the yellow hat represents the Turkish learning process; the other foreign students stated that the white (15%), red (15%), black (15%), and green (15%) hats represent. According to this result, the “advantage” represented by the yellow hat stands out. None of the participants expressed an opinion representing the blue hat. This result suggests that foreign students not prioritize process evaluation. The overall research suggests that foreign students believe learning Turkish is an advantage and see it as an opportunity to find employment/work (40%).
