TEACHERS' VIEWS ON DEVELOPING SCHOOL PRINCIPALS' IN-HOUSE LEADERSHIP BEHAVIORS


Employees in the educational institution always expect the educational leader to be a guide. The training leader first starts by identifying the problems. In order to achieve this, he must first make a good observation and consider the thoughts and solution suggestions of the employees working in the institution. At this stage, employees should be able to easily share existing problems and related solutions with their teammates. It is the school principals who will provide the environment and opportunity here. As a result of the efforts of the school principal in this direction; will have acquired the factors that will determine the approach of teachers and parents to school, their perspective and support for educational administration. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the efforts of school principals to improve their in-house leadership behaviors by teachers. The research, which was carried out in accordance with this purpose, was carried out with the case study method depending on the qualitative research method. The study group of the research consists of teachers from 28 different schools and branches working in official primary and secondary schools and Anatolian and science high schools. In the collection of research data, it consisted of questions in the form of five main headings and a total of 123 sub-headings, and it consisted of structured interview forms prepared in accordance with the purpose of the research. In the analysis of the research data, the opinions of the teachers, which emerged by using the content analysis method, were handled as themes and yes-no. When the research findings are examined, it is seen that the school principals; It has been concluded that the studies he has done to develop leadership behaviors are sufficient and effective, that being a cultural leader increases the success of the school and this is welcomed, they consider the environmental factor in reaching the school's goals, and consider the suggestions put forward by the society in solving the problems they encounter.
